From 1997 to 1999, MHC became heavily involved in facilitating IT resource,
both on a permanent and contract basis, to ensure that local and national
companies were able to detect and resolve their Year 2000 systems issues.
During this time, among other successful service deliveries, MHC was awarded
the contract to manage and supply all Y2K personnel for one of Bournemouth’s
leading Financial Services providers, Abbey Life Assurance plc.
With the turn of the Millennium and following the success of MHC Business
Support division, which was launched in 1997 to meet the systems and development
needs of both local and national clients, the decision was taken to offer
clients fully managed, outsourced IT and personnel services.
This decision was justified when MHC was awarded a major contract to
provide a team of 18 people to assist and support the Operations and Mainframe
Area of one of Europe’s largest government organisations based in
The Hague.
MHC has applied this experience and service ethic to the local and national
market and is now supporting clients of all sizes and technologies, and
has maintained a healthy financial standing.
